The two-storey tabernacle facade of the monumental fountain installation was erected as the magnificent terminus of an Ephesian water conduit, by the Asiarch Tib. Claudius Aristion before 114 AD. It was dedicated to emperor Trajan.
The rendering of the nymphaeum will illustrate the Ephesus part of the book series ‘La aventura de la arqueología’ from Tecam, RBA, National Geographic.
